Contact us now to schedule an in person consultation and see why Michelle’s great personality and quality work is perfect for capturing your event. Just so you don’t have to go searching our number is: 419-344-2257 What does proof minimum mean exactly? I don’t have a set maximum per se but I have to promise a minimum so that the client has a certain number amount of photos promised for legality reasons. The exact minimum varies with the hours of coverage. What is a retainer? A retainer is the fee taken at the time of a wedding booking. It is not refundable. It holds your date. If your wedding date is canceled the fee may be used towards our other services. A retainer is NOT in addition to the wedding price but goes towards final fees due on your wedding date. Do you shoot film or digital? I shoot digital. There are so many benefits to shooting digital over film that I love. I use a professional DSLR and edit all the images myself. I take much time and consideration to each client. My work is my passion and art and it’s very important to me to provide the best to my clients. Digital offers more options and so that’s the route I have taken. The prints are printed on the same quality paper as film is. With each image you have the choice of color, BW, sepia, or just about anything you can come up with. Film is more costly. You shoot fewer images and if you happen to shoot something in BW you can never have it in color. Digital you have everything you can imagine at your fingertips with editing, color conversions, and touch ups. Do you do contracts? Of course, I use contracts for all my weddings. Do I have a choice of a different album if I don’t like the one you use? Before your wedding day if you want a different style of album, that can be arranged. We’re here to cater to you. Though it may cost more if the style you like is a more expensive album then the one that is included. Do you have any tips for searching for the right photographer? Photographers are all different in what they offer and their pricing. It can become very confusing. I suggest looking for the photographers who fit your budget. They say ten percent of your total budget should be for the photographer. Say for a total budget of $30,000 you should look for a photographer that is no higher than $3,000. After you have found a few in your range start looking at their portfolios. Any person can have good shots over the course of years so it’s important to look at recent wedding albums in entirety. I have seen many photographers who look good on the surface but once you see how they perform for an entire event their skills were lacking and quite disappointing. You don’t want to figure this out about your photographer AFTER your event. Once you find a photographer who you think you like set up an appointment to visit with them. Find out if you like their personality and if you would hang out with this person for an entire day. |
